Learning the language of birds is fun! Songs tell of territories; calls help keep birds in contact with each other or warn of predators. So, join bird expert, ecologist and environmental educator Tom Forward, for a walk with a difference to tune your ears into the sounds of the woodland and gardens at Wakehurst. Get tips on how to remember the songs and calls and mimic them too with a whistle or a hoot. If you get good at it the birds will respond!

This session will include a chance to help assemble and install a split sweet chestnut bird box from locally sourced timber - the perfect nesting place for woodland birds.
