Charcoal and woodland day Tickets and Dates

Experience a day in the Loder Valley understanding the way we work with our Wakehurst woodlands and hands-on experience making charcoal. This day workshop in the heart of the woodlands will provide you the skills to understand timber selection, fire lighting and methods for running your very own kiln.
Lead by experienced Loder Valley Ranger, Steven Robinson, the workshop will be spent in the Loder Valley woods with activities based around a 6ft ring kiln, along with smaller oil drum kilns and a retort to see the whole process in action.
