Visiting Wakehurst during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

With over 500 acres to explore, we believe that people can roam safely through our wild botanic garden. You can always find a quiet spot in the gardens to reconnect with nature and we hope your visit provides much-needed fresh air and respite. To ensure social distancing, please only book tickets for your household (excludes carers).

To keep our visitors and staff safe, we have introduced a host of measures to support government guidance on social distancing. This includes closing some indoor buildings and spaces including the Mansion, Millennium Seed Bank, Tree Trunk Trek and Children's Heritage Garden and we have also postponed all day-time events and exhibitions until further notice. Please check the latest COVID-19 guidance on visiting the gardens before you travel. Help us stay open by following both onsite and government guidance on hygiene and social distancing.

We care for some of the world's rarest plant species. To help us preserve our beautiful gardens, we have some do's and don'ts. Please see here for further information.
